The Chattooga Emergency Department, a Facility of Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, is open 24/7 to stabilize and care for life-threatening injuries and illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes, breathing problems and accidents.
The facility is staffed 24/7 by an on-site board-certified physician.
Capabilities include:
- six treatment rooms
- onsite laboratory
- imaging services, including X-ray, ultrasound and CT scan (computed tomography)
- heart testing such as an EKG
- a helipad, providing access to the Floyd Medical Center Level II Trauma Center
