A career at Floyd doesn't start with an application or a resume. It starts the moment you realize that health care is more than a career. It's a calling to a higher purpose. To work at Floyd is to join a team committed to excellence, professionalism, expertise and compassion. Our co-workers are difference-makers who are encouraged to question the status quo and find new and better ways to serve our patients.

Whether at our 304-bed acute care hospital, our 25-bed critical access hospital, our 53-bed behavioral health center, 60-bed hospital in Centre, Alabama, our Primary Care network or with any of our many ancillary and outpatient service providers, Floyd is more than a place to work. It's your place to grow and to shine.

Opportunities to Grow

Whether its research in Clinical Education or serving with process improvement teams, Floyd provides nurses with opportunities to grow. Floyd offers an intimate, family environment with the resources and support of a large hospital system.

From a Yarn Mill to Executive Vice President

For Dr. Sheila Bennett, Executive Vice President and Chief of Patient Services, the road to a fulfilling career as a nurse and nurse executive started at a yarn mill. Today, she says she’s never seen nursing as a job. It’s her profession and her calling.

A Place Where Nurses Have a Voice

Floyd is a hospital where nurses have the opportunity to share their needs and their ideas with nurse administrators. It’s a large hospital with a small, hometown feel where co-workers feel like family and where nurses are given the tools and the educational opportunities to grow their skills. It’s a culture of caring for each other and for our patients.
