Camp for Kids with Diabetes Going Virtual This Summer

03.07.2020

Kiki's Kids Camp, a four-day summer camp for youth between the ages of 6 - 12 who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, will be a virtual event in 2020 in response to social distancing because of COVID-19.

The camp will be held via Facebook on July 13-16. If you would like to participate and receive more details, please complete the registration form. Campers will learn about nutrition, diabetes management, independence and self-discipline from trained clinicians and volunteers.

Kiki's Kids is funded by a planned gift from the estate of the late Angelique (Kiki) Petropole, a Rome pediatric nurse who had diabetes. Her gift is managed by Floyd Healthcare Foundation and continues to fund the camp and the purchase of diabetes supplies for children in need.

For more information, contact Floyd Healthcare Foundation by emailing Carter at cacarter@floyd.org or call 706.509.3290.
