The Family Birth Center at Floyd Medical Center promotes family bonding from the very beginning with baby and parents spending as much time together as possible.

From childbirth education and delivery to newborn care and lactation consulting, we are dedicated to providing expert care, education and safety throughout the entire childbirth process.​

Our level III NICU offers advanced care for babies with severe or potentially life-threatening conditions. The care givers at Floyd​ have expert training that guarantees the best possible care for premature babies in our region.

Breastfeeding Q&A​

Floyd certified lactation consultants Sue Lewis and Pat Wynn join Haley Walker to discuss the most frequently asked questions about breastfeeding. This education session covers the essential topics for new moms and is a good refresher for experienced nursing mothers. Topics include the latest Floyd lactation resources available through our consultation and retail store.
