Laboratory

The laboratories at Floyd Medical Center, Polk Medical Center and Cherokee Medical Center offer a convenient option for local residents who need blood or urine tests.

All our labs are accredited by The Joint Commission. Our professional phlebotomists provide collection and testing for inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. Our staff can also collect blood specimens to send to other labs for study. Laboratory services are available 24/7 for inpatient needs.

Most laboratory collections do not require an appointment, but orders from a doctor are required.

Due to test requirements, glucose tolerance tests and therapeutic phlebotomies must be scheduled in advance with the lab you wish to visit.

All our laboratories provide the following testing.

Lab Tests

  • Complete blood count (CBC)
  • Complete metabolic panel (CMP)
  • Cholesterol testing
  • Cross-matching for blood transfusion
  • Glucose and A1C levels
