Dr. G. Marc Wetherington cares for patients in Atrium Health Floyd wound care clinics. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a former president of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Wetherington earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, and completed residencies in both general surgery and plastic surgery at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his four children, physical fitness, cooking, reading and being with his extended family and friends.

Dr. Wetherington has practiced medicine in Rome since 1988. ​
