12 Other Atrium Health Hospitals Also Make Top Scores
ROME, GA., May 10, 2022 – The Leapfrog Group has awarded Floyd Medical Center and 12 other Atrium Health hospitals with top-rated “A" grades on its spring 2022 patient safety report card.
The other Atrium Health hospitals that received an “A" rating in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades for protecting patients from preventable harm and error while in the hospital include:
- Atrium Health Cabarrus
- Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center
- Atrium Health Cleveland
- Atrium Health Kings Mountain
- Atrium Health Lincoln
- Atrium Health Mercy
- Atrium Health Stanly
- Atrium Health University City
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center
All 12 of those facilities are located in North Carolina.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospital prevention of medical errors and harm to patients. Leapfrog assigns A-F grades to hospitals across the country based on more than 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
