Floyd Opens New Pediatric Practice

Tyler Barnes, M.D., and Elizabeth Anne Smith, M.D., have joined Floyd Primary Care as pediatricians. They will be accepting patients at Floyd’s new pediatric office located at 402 N. Fourth Ave., Rome.

Dr. Barnes earned his Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah and a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens.
 
He completed his pediatric residency at Greenville Health System/University​ of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville, South Carolina.
 
Dr. Smith earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine​ at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science degree from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. 

She completed her pediatric residency at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida, and a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center in Chapel Hill.

Before coming to Floyd, Dr. Smith practiced at My First Doctor Pediatrics in Riverview, Florida, and at the Kid’s Doctor in Tampa, Florida. She is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics.

Floyd Pediatrics will be open Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 706.292.3045.
