Phil Wheeler
Chief Financial Officer
Phil Wheeler, MBA, is the Chief Financial Officer of Atrium Health Floyd.
He began his career as an industrial engineer after graduating from the University of Cincinnati. He then returned to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on finance and strategy.
After graduating, Wheeler joined Deloitte’s health care consulting practice before working for several hospitals. His previous experience includes Atlanta Medical Center where he was Chief Financial Officer; Kaiser Permanente in Maryland; Mercy Health in Ohio; University Hospital in Ohio; and Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Pennsylvania.
