Sports Medicine

At Atrium Health Floyd, a comprehensive team of sports medicine specialists strives to keep players healthy and injury free -- both on and off the field.

Our licensed and certified athletic trainers, orthopedic specialized physical therapists, certified sports specialists and certified hand therapists provide quality health care specific to athletes.

We are equipped to help athletes recover from injuries that can happen during physical activity, including joint injuries, tears and concussions.

To help prevent injuries, we provide athletes and coaches with education and training tailored to specific needs.

Sports Performance Training

We offer performance training clinics during the year that are specific to sports movement and conditions, including an ACL Risk Assessment and Injury Prevention Program. We also use state-of-the-art Video Laser Analysis (VLA) to study movements in slow motion. Using this technology, we can analyze the motion of joints to prevent injuries and optimize performance, whether it's running, throwing or jumping.
