Services Provided at Floyd Primary Care at Rome High School
Working closely with the Floyd school nurses, providers at the school-based primary care clinic will provide care to students, faculty and staff. Immediate care will be provided to those who become ill or have a minor injury while at school.
The clinic will accept appointments for routine check-ups and vaccinations. Parents will be notified before and after care is provided to minors.
The following is a list of services provided at the clinic:
- adult wellness visits
- well-child checkups
- sports physicals
- rapid flu test
- rapid strep test
Common Conditions Treated
The following is a list of common conditions that can be treated at the clinic:
- ear pain/ear infection
- fever
- pink eye
- sore throat
- upper respiratory illness symptoms
- urinary tract infections
- vomiting/diarrhea/gastrointestinal illnesses
How to Schedule
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 706.291.5372. Rome students and parents can also contact the school nurse at their respective schools to set up an appointment. If a student needs to receive vaccines before the start of the next school year, they should call 706.509.3750 during the summer break.
