Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Established July 1, 1966, Floyd Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provides emergency ambulance and non-emergency transport services to residents of Floyd and​ Polk Counties. 

Floyd has ambulances stationed in multiple locations to ensure rapid response and quality medical care using our fleet of ambulances equipped with cutting-edge technology and specially trained personnel.

These emergency response efforts are complimented by intensive education, community outreach and disaster-response initiatives. Floyd EMS provides cardiopulmonary rescuscitation (CPR) and first-responder training, career education, event support and health screenings to schools, civic organizations, churches and other groups in the community.
