The ​Atrium Health Floyd Musculoskeletal Care Joint Replacement was developed in collaboration with Stryker Performance Solutions, a health care firm led by doctors and nationally recognized for its joint replacement expertise.

Patients receive surgery in one of Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center's fully equipped surgery suites. Here the region's most respected and skilled surgeons, together with a highly-trained support staff, utilize the most advanced, next-generation technology and techniques available.

Recovery time is dependent on each individual's health. Patients typically go home from the hospital two to three days after surgery. Most patients can begin driving within three weeks after surgery and return to light physical activity such as golf or bowling within 12 weeks.
