School Nurses
Atrium Health Floyd provides nurses to Floyd County Schools to meet the health care needs of students and staff. From bandaging a skinned knee to supervising students who need medications while at school to providing care in emergencies, Floyd nurses are a daily point of contact in Floyd's partnership with the school system.
Dr. James Douglas provides a full range of health care services for all ages including newborns, children, teens and adults. His areas of practice include family medicine, gynecology and obstetrics. Dr. Douglas also serves as medical director of Atrium Health Floyd's School Nurse program, bringing clinical oversight to the health care school nurses provide to the children in our schools.
