​Patients and visitors should allow extra time to reach Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center due to road construction and closures.

This road work may affect ​Shorter Avenue, Turner McCall Boulevard, North Second Avenue and Martha Berry Boulevard near the hospital.

Temporary Nighttime Entrance Closures ​From Turner McCall Blvd.

Turner McCall Boulevard will be closed to all traffic from Martha Berry Boulevard (Hwy. 27) to North Fifth Avenue, beginning May 6 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night. These nightly closures are expected to last no more than a week.

Patients and visitors will need to plan ahead for this road closure.

Patients who need care at the Emergency Care Center (ECC) and mothers in labor who need to enter the Family Birth Center should plan to access these areas using North Second Avenue or Keelway Drive.

During these nightly closures, Department of Transportation crews will be working with utility companies to move water lines that will be affected by the North Second Avenue widening project.

Shuttle Service​

Shuttles are available to take patients and visitors from their vehicles in the Main Entrance parking lot to the hospital.
