Clinical Interests Include COPD, High Blood Pressure
ROME, Ga., Aug. 16, 2023 – Dr. Terrell Jenrette thinks the perfect doctor-patient relationship is one where they are both listening. He is now treating adultatients at Atrium Health Floyd Primary Care Family Medicine in Rockmart.
“If you listen to your patients closely, they will tell you what is wrong with them," Dr. Jenrette said. “I decided to become part of the medical field because I wanted to help people," he said. “I grew up in a family that did not perceive health care as a necessity. This resulted in many people dying or being negatively impacted by conditions that could have been treated or prevented."
His clinical interests include chronic conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, high blood pressure and diabetes; common skin issues; seasonal allergies; and depression and anxiety.
He also stresses the importance of routine health screenings.
In his free time, Dr. Jenrette enjoys watching movies, playing basketball, listening to live music, spending time with his family and reading.
He received his medical degree from Mercer School of Medicine in Macon. He completed his residency at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center in Macon. While completing his residency, Dr. Jenrette was named chief resident and resident of the year.
