If you want to learn early warning signs of a heart attack, how to administer CPR or how to save someone’s life if they are bleeding heavily, Floyd will be holding free lifesaving events at area churches this month. February is American Heart Month.
Early Heart Attack Care (EHAC) can help you recognize the signs and symptoms of a heart attack. Those symptoms are not the same for everyone.
When a heart attack occurs, 85 percent of the damage to the heart happens in the first two hours. That's why it's important to call 911 immediately.
Hands-only CPR has been shown to be just as effective as conventional CPR in saving lives and can be performed easily by any member of the general public who has received training. Hands-only CPR does not require mouth-to-mouth breaths.
Stop the Bleed training can teach the general public how to effectively stop heavy bleeding as the result of trauma.
