Alcoholism affects everyone in the family as well as close friends. As a family member or friend, it can be difficult to learn how to cope with the challenges of someone else’s alcohol abuse.
Al Anon can help you come to understand problem drinking as a family illness that affects everyone in the family. By listening to Al Anon members speak at meetings, you can hear how they came to understand their own role in this family illness. This insight can help you play a positive role in the family’s future.
Registration is not required. Al-Anon meets from 7 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday, except for holidays, at Willowbrooke at Floyd.
