Patsy Wade has been named Bereavement Coordinator with Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd.
She will offer counseling to family members and friends as they move through the grieving process during the loss of a loved one. Before her new position, she worked as a patient advocate in Floyd’s Emergency Care Center for 18 years.
Wade earned a Master of Arts degree in leadership and a Bachelor of Science degree in human services from Shorter College.
Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd provides compassionate, comfort-oriented care to patients with a life expectancy of less than six months. Hospice provides care in the home, not a hospital facility, allowing families to be together when they need it most, sharing the final days in peace, comfort and dignity.
