Floyd Urgent Care opened its eighth location on Monday. The newest addition is in Armuchee near both Armuchee High School and North Floyd Park.
The office is located at 4159 Martha Berry Highway NW, and will be open from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
Matt Gorman, Vice President of Corporate and Network Services for Floyd, attended Monday’s event and said it was a pleasure to open the new facility in the Armuchee community.
Dr. Duriel Gray, a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, will provide care at the new facility.
“Medicine is medicine. It’s great to be able to do what I do at a different location and serve the people in Armuchee,” said Dr. Gray, who was previously at Floyd Urgent Care in Rome.
Floyd already operates seven Urgent Care sites in Calhoun, Cartersville, Cedartown, Rockmart, Rome, Summerville and Centre, Alabama. They treat minor emergencies and illnesses such as the cold, flu and respiratory infections.
