Becoming a Parent: 8-week Course

This interactive childbirth class covers both the before and after of becoming a parent – from the physical changes mom can expect as birth approaches to caring for a little one once you return home.

The class is designed for both mothers and their partners, with a focus on providing comfort for mom during labor and delivery.

It includes a tour of the Family Birth Center and is taught by a Lamaze certified instructor.

Classes are held once a week for eight consecutive weeks from 6 to 8 p.m. at Childbirth and Lactation Services, 1013 North 5th Ave., Suite 7. The courses are scheduled with due dates in mind so that parents can complete all the classes before their baby arrives, but not too far in advance so the information remains fresh. Snacks are provided.
