This seven-week course can help you prepare for what to expect as a new parent – from the labor and birth experience to useful tips for caring for baby once you are home from the hospital.

This course will be held Monday, July 1 - Monday, Aug. 12 (due before Sept. 21).  Snacks will be provided.

Topics covered include:

• Your changing body
• Preparing for labor and birth
• Epidural and pain medications
• Induction of labor
• Cesarean birth
• Mom's recovery after giving birth
• Breastfeeding
• Newborn parenting

This course is held in the evenings from 6 - 8 p.m. The registration fee is $80 and is covered by Medicaid and is reimbursed by some insurances. You must register to attend.
