Students pursuing ​an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing are eligible to apply for a nursing scholarship through the Atrium Health Floyd Nursing Scholarship Program.

Applications for scholarships are accepted in the spring of each year​.

​Who is Eligible?

• Current nursing students who work in an as-needed PRN role at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, Atrium Health Floyd Polk Medical Center, Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical Center or another Atrium Health Floyd affiliate
  
• Current nursing students not affiliated with Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, Atrium Health Floyd Polk Medical Center or Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical Center​
  

Scholarships offer $1,500 per semester, up to $3,000 per ​year.

A scholarship committee reviews applications and conducts interviews. Scholarship finalists will be contacted by phone in late June to schedule their interview, which will be held in July.

If awarded a scholarship, students are required to sign a contract agreeing to work for Atrium Health Floyd for a specific amount of time after graduation or pay back the scholarship upon graduation.

Academic records will be evaluated by Atrium Health Floyd after completion of each semester to ensure scholarship students are maintaining at least a B average.​
