Research

Our evidence-based care model follows standardized practice guidelines developed from clinical research. The CCE supports and assists in nurse-driven and collaborative research projects that aim to improve the quality and safety of patient-centered care. 

Education

Continuing education is vital to clinical excellence. We support our nurses in this endeavor by helping them map their learning opportunities from the first day of hire throughout the nurse's career at Floyd.

A standardized Core Clinical Orientation prepares the nurse for system-wide nursing care. Nurses then follow the learning plan to gain additional knowledge of their chosen specialty and to maintain required competencies and knowledge.

Our online Learning Management System gives nurses direct access to information on a diverse range of clinical topics.

Students and Instructors

Academic partnerships with schools of nursing, medicine, allied health sciences and local high schools create a culture of continuous learning that permeates every clinical environment. Floyd nurses are committed to the teaching-learning process and host over 1,000 students each year.
