Professionals in Crisis

Our Professionals in Crisis program addresses the needs of professionals who experience psychiatric issues, such as depression or drug/alcohol addiction. Our short term program provides confidential treatment for physicians, attorneys, nurses, social workers, teachers and other professionals that work with the public.

This program allows individualized treatment that considers the unique issues of the professional. Individuals participate in a special treatment track led by an interdisciplinary team of clinical professionals.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, work related pressures force about 3,500 people to leave their jobs each year. White-collar workers are the highest at risk of having a serious problem. When stress escalates, these professionals may lean on alcohol, prescription drugs or other substances to help them cope. Unfortunately, the men and women who are most affected by stress often feel they can't ask for help because of their high-profile jobs.

Fear, guilt and shame are magnified for these professionals as they worry how seeking professional help will affect their careers.

If you or a loved feel the pressures of work are getting to be to much or an addiction is taking control, read our warning signs to see if our Professionals in Crisis program could help.
