Our Perinatal Loss Bereavement Program provides caring and compassionate support to families affected by the death of an infant or when a pregnancy ends and the baby does not survive.
Our staff provides grieving parents and their families with support and guidance. Through education, our staff can help with decision making during this difficult time. Staff members include a bereavement coordinator, doctors, nurses, our hospital chaplain and nutritional services.
We emphasize the life and love of each baby, no matter how brief. A memory box with baby keepsakes, including pictures, is given to the parents.
After discharge from the hospital, follow-up phone calls and visits with the bereavement coordinator are provided as requested or as necessary.
