Armuchee High School

Bo Bradshaw Bo Bradshaw educates coaches and administrators on environmental considerations in athletics. He also teaches students about nutrition and stress management. Bradshaw holds a master’s degree in athletic training and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

 

Cass High School

Diana Bell Diana Bell earned her bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and athletic training from Valdosta State University. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is a member of the Georgia Athletic Trainers‘ Association.

 

Cedartown High School

Laurie Thompson Laurie Thompson earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. 

 

Chattooga High School

Brent Kasai Brent Kasai received a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Catawba College, Salisbury, North Carolina. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). He previously served as a graduate assistant for Shorter University.

 

Coosa High School

Ashley Whelchel Ashley Whelchel earned her bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and athletic training from the University of North Georgia. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is a member of Georgia Athletic Trainers’ Association.

 

Darlington School

Donnie Brown Donnie Brown holds a master’s degree from Life University and a bachelor’s degree from Berry College. In addition, he earned a certificate as an emergency medical technician-intermediate from North Metro Technical Institute in Acworth. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Jenny Sternfeld Jenny Sternfeld received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Elon University. She also earned a Master of Science in athletic training from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

 

Georgia Highlands College

Derek Kopp Derek Kopp earned a Master of Business Administration from Berry College and a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Alma College, Alma, Michigan. He is a certified first aid and CPR instructor by the American Heart Association and is also Sportsmetric certified.

 

Model High School

Tamara MacIntyre Tamara MacIntyre graduated from University of North Georgia in Dahlonega with a degree in athletic training. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and holds board certification in athletic training.

 

Pepperell High School

Andrea Mendence Andrea Mendence is the head athletic trainer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia. She also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Berry College from 2008-2010 while working on her master’s degree in education. Mendence has been with Pepperell High School since 2009. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

 

Rockmart High School

Sean Burrows Sean Burrows holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training and sports medicine from Georgia Southern University, where he minored in exercise science. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers‘ Association.

 

Rome High School

Chad Wilson Chad Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and exercise science from Georgia Southern University. As a Rome High alumnus, he enjoys the opportunity to be able work at his alma mater. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

 

Trion High School

Rachel Trundle Rachel Trundle is the head athletic trainer at Trion High School. She graduated from Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association. 

 

Unity Christian

Marci Wilson Marci Wilson is licensed and certified athletic trainer. She earned a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine/athletic training from Valdosta State University. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Turner received her master's degree in secondary education from University of Phoenix and is certified to teach English. She has been a licensed and certified athletic trainer since 2009.

 

Shorter University

Liz Barnes Liz Barnes received a Master of Business Administration from Shorter University and a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
Eric Johnson Eric Johnson earned a Master of Arts in Education in allied health education from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky, and a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine from Mercyhurst College, Erie, Pennsylvania. He holds athletic trainer certification from the National Athletic Trainers' Association and an athletic training license with the Georgia Board of Athletic Trainers. He has over 24 years of experience in collegiate athletics.
Josh Tucker Josh Tucker has been an athletic trainer at Shorter University for over 10 years. He works with the men’s soccer, basketball and baseball sports teams. Tucker earned a bachelor’s degree in sports performance and athletic training from Berry College. He also has served as an athletic trainer with Armuchee High School and for Olympic gymnasts. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
