Our three-year residency program has been preparing medical school graduates for a career in family medicine since 1976. Floyd is a non-competing residency program, and the only one located in North Georgia, allowing our residents increased hands-on experience in a variety of settings.

Floyd residents learn outstanding clinical skills and compassionate caregiving. They also enhance their communication and leadership abilities in a supportive environment with opportunities to form lasting mentoring relationships with experts in medicine.

Our diverse patient population exposes residents to the full spectrum of family medicine, and our electives give residents the opportunity to explore a variety of subspecialties.
