Our residents are responsible for being on-call all three years of their residency. The first two years, residents must be on-call at the hospital. The third-year residents have home call with limited inpatient call.

Our night float system allows our residents to enjoy their evenings and avoid excessive work hours.

Night Float

• Monday – Thursday, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
• First-year Residents - Five, two-week blocks
• Second-year Residents - Two, two-week blocks
• Third-year Residents - One, two-week block

Weekend Call

• Friday – Sunday, 12 hour shift
• 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. and 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Covered by an intern and senior resident
