Dr. Childs received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Mississippi, Hattiesburg. Dr. Childs received his medical doctorate from the University of Mississippi Medical School, Jackson, and completed his family practice residency at the Floyd Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Childs is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the following associations:
