Dr. Keith Parmer - GI Health Panel

Gastrointestinal issues such as abdominal discomfort, excessive gas or chronic constipation are often vague but the long-term effect of untreated complaints can be harmful to your health.

The GI Health Panel is a non-invasive screening of the gastrointestinal tract. Through saliva or stool sampling, this series of tests explore the following abnormalities:

  • Pathogen screening: bacteria, fungi, yeast and various parasites
  • Digestion-related screens: enzyme levels and immunochemical markers for intolerance to certain foods
  • Intestinal function marker: evaluates irritation and inflammation and indicates overall status of gut immunity and integrity

The GI Health Panel is useful in diagnosing the following:

  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Chronic loose stools or constipation
  • Fat, grain and food intolerances
  • Chronic abdominal discomfort/pain
  • Excessive, poor or erratic eating patterns
  • Sudden changes in bowel habits
  • Bloating, maldigestion, heartburn
  • Excessive gas

To learn if a GI Health Panel is right for you, call Primary Care - office of Dr. Parmer at 706.291.0584.
