The educational programs below provide health education and hope
to children and youth in our community. The programs are made possible
by donations to the Floyd Healthcare Foundation.
Anti-Tobacco Use Program
Educational programs for youth on the reasons to not use tobacco
products.
Kiki's Kids Camp
Educational day camp for diabetic children ages 6-12 that offers
crafts, swimming, field trips and organized games while learning
how to live with diabetes.
Summer Explosion
A camp for middle schoolers that offers tutoring, abstinence
education, cultural events, career education and a community service
project for seven weeks during the summer.
Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program
Role-model high school students teach middle schoolers about abstinence
by using role-playing and supervised discussion about the value
and importance of abstinence.
Youth Service Day
Youth groups throughout the community come together to complete
a community service project. By giving back the youth learn the
reward of volunteering their time and talents for the good of others.
