Giving Opportunities

Your support continues to play an essential part in the life of health care in our community. We appreciate and encourage gifts and donations from friends, families, corporations and organizations.

Beyond Imagination
Our pediatric campaign, Beyond Imagination, is benefiting the renovation of the pediatric unit and the addition of an Intermediate Care Unit for critically ill and injured children. Everyone who gives to this campaign plays a part in the miracle of healing — one child at a time.

Robert Battey Fellowship
Honoring the memory of Robert Battey, M.D. (1825-1895),
this fellowship was established to recognize individuals for their exceptionally generous support of the Foundation. A $10,000 or more contribution, payable as a single gift or as a multi-year commitment, grants membership in the Robert Battey Fellowship.

Planned Giving
Plan now for a gift to be given in the future. Long-range estate and financial planning enables you to make a contribution to a program or project of your choice. Working with you and your financial planner, Floyd Healthcare Foundation can ensure a legacy of caring that will continue forever.

Celebrate Someone Special
Floyd Healthcare Foundation accepts charitable contributions
in memory or in honor of a loved one. This meaningful expression of thoughtfulness is an opportunity for a double blessing by showing your respect for someone you love while helping to improve the health of our community.

Commemorative Brick Program
Permanently marking a special occasion or honoring a special person is both easy and meaningful with our Commemorative Brick Program. In purchasing an engraved brick you can honor or memorialize someone special or commemorate a special honor or event, from the birth of a child to celebrating the attainment of a degree or reaching an anniversary. Engraved bricks are placed along the sidewalks and in the plaza areas adjacent to Floyd Medical Center's new Main Entrance. A remembrance ceremony is held annually in the spring.
Purchase your brick online.

Grateful Families Fund
Established in 1998 in honor of the outstanding care given
by Floyd Medical Center to a young woman critically injured
in an automobile accident, this fund now grows with contributions by other grateful families. Gifts can be designated to benefit a particular service of the hospital. This fund supports improvement to the facilities and equipment at Floyd.

S.P.I.R.I.T.
Special People Involved Reaching Into Tomorrow is an organization of Floyd employees who give regularly to Floyd through the Foundation. Nearly 70 percent of Floyd employees are S.P.I.R.I.T. members, and as a group, they have pledged $1 million over a 10-year period to the hospital's renovation and expansion project. This group also sponsors several annual fund-raising activities that support S.P.I.R.I.T. grants awarded twice a year to departments of the hospital based on formal requests.

Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd
Hospice care provides families in our community with the comfort and medical attention that cannot be found through any other service. Donations to Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd continue providing terminally ill patients and their families with support and education while caring for their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.

Diabetes Council of Northwest Georgia
This educational program is managed by community volunteers whose mission is to make a difference in the lives of all those affected by and at risk for diabetes in Northwest Georgia. Donations to this charity provide supplies to local diabetes programs and families. Also, donations provide support for national diabetes research.
