Vendors who supply Floyd Medical Center will soon be asked to register with the Materials Management department as part of a new program and procedure to ensure Floyd is compliant with all federal and Joint Commission standards.

New Dictation System for Physicians
On September 17, physicians will begin using a new dictation system. The current off-white dictation stations are being replaced with new black ones. The physician dictation areas have been updated with the new “Dolbey Fusion Dictate,” a PC based dictating application that will allow you to dictate using PCs. Because the system requires a four-digit number, you will need to enter a leading zero to your current physician ID. The dial-in number and keypad functionality will not change. Trainers will be on site to assist you and answer any questions you may have about the new dictation system on September 17-18.
